Following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad AlKhalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, to dedicate half of the workday on Thursday February 10th 2022 for sports activities, and under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad AlKhalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Board of Directors Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding), The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY)  has organized a walk at ASRY Beach to mark the Bahrain Sports Day.

The event, which witnessed a wide participation of ASRY's employees, was organized with the aim of stressing ASRY’s Keenness to supporting and encouraging sports as well as raising awareness of the importance of sport and its prominent role in promoting the public health of individuals and society and cultivating a healthy lifestyle.

The Bahrain Sport Day was approved as a national event organized every year in compliance to the decision of Their Highnesses Presidents of National GCC Olympics Committee at the meeting held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to have a national sport day on the second week of February in all GCC countries.
